Counselling provides holistic programs based on Ogwehoweh teachings that integrate the mind, body and spirit. The teachings combined with mainstream counselling techniques provide a basis for helping individuals experiencing family violence. This is explored in a caring, non-judgmental way. The commitment to this holistic process may be long term, based on the needs of the individual.

Counsellors provide:

  • One on one counselling
  • Educational and therapeutic groups
  • Advocacy and referrals to clients within their program.

Staff utilize a wide variety of education and healing modalities to assist client with taking responsibility for self mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually.

Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Focused Intention Technique  (FIT), Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), Psychodrama, Arts & Play Therapy, Reality Therapy/Choice Theory, Reiki, Inner Child Work.
