Indigenous Partner Assault Response Program

Ohahi:yo is a 12-week Ministry approved Indigenous Partner Assault Response (IPAR) co-ed program that provided culturally sensitive traditional teachings and Haudenosaunee perspectives on family and intimate partner violence. The program runs 3 times a year.

Ohahi:yo uses main stream education and awareness of family or intimate partner violence, intergenerational traumas, responsibility and accountability and for those who want to understand the impacts of abuse within the relationship on self,family, and community.

The program is for those who want to:

  • Increase understanding of family violence
  • Build self empowerment and responsibility
  • Make healthier choices
  • Live violence free lives
  • Attend an IPAR designated program to meet court mandated conditions.
