The Youth Lodge is for youth ages 12-18 years old.
We provide a safe space for females, males, and the LGBTQ2S+ community to live, work on life skills, receive counselling, support, and Haudenosaunee cultural teachings. Ganohkwasra Youth Lodge is a licensed Child and Youth Mental Health Facility.
Youth Lodge focuses programming, outings and activities on the goal of keeping the youth engaged, having fun while learning, incorporating Haudenosaunee teachings and guidance. This includes land based outings and activities such as medicine walks, crafting, fishing, and gardening.
The Youth Lodge’s sensory room is a positive addition for supporting the wellness of residents. This room it utilized during one on one sessions, crisis de-escalation and overall self-care. The mix of adjustable lighting, sensory toys, massage chair and projection lights complete the overall safe environment.
